TrackChain: All-in-one Freight Management Platform By AI | Y Combinator
Our Story
Hugo and I (Eduardo) first met in our previous roles before founding TrackChain. Our paths crossed in a way that showcased our complementary skills and laid the foundation for a successful partnership.
I was working as a Product Manager at Micorbit, a custom software development company, while Hugo was leading projects at Cretum Partners. Micorbit was providing services to Cretum for the development of risk analysis and financial applications. In this context, I was the project owner from Micorbit's side, and Hugo was the owner from Cretum's perspective. This arrangement meant we were essentially working together to achieve the goals of both teams.
Throughout our collaboration, we discovered that we both had backgrounds in logistics, which added an extra layer of understanding to our professional relationship. As we worked side by side, we found that our skills complemented each other perfectly. My expertise in product management and software development paired well with Hugo's strong project execution and client management skills.
Over time, we not only built a strong professional relationship but also developed a genuine friendship. We found that we shared a vision for innovation in the logistics sector, often discussing the challenges and opportunities we saw in the industry.
As we successfully completed our last project together, we realized that with our combined experience in logistics, software development, and project management, we had the perfect skill set to start our own venture. We were confident that together, we could create something truly innovative and valuable in the logistics technology space.
Inspired by this realization and driven by our shared passion for solving complex logistical challenges, we made the bold decision to leave our jobs in 2021 and found TrackChain. Our goal was to leverage our complementary abilities, industry knowledge, and proven track record of successful collaboration to build a company that would revolutionize the logistics sector.
This decision marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter in our careers, where we could fully apply our expertise, creativity, and shared vision to make a significant impact in the industry we both knew and we are passionate about it.
